Welcome

Pierson Bark Park is a privately owned dog park located northeast of Indianapolis, in Fishers, Indiana. Established by Heather and Andy Pierson in 2005, Pierson Bark Park was a typical Indiana farm field until the Piersons transformed it into a four acre recreational area for dogs and their humans.

The park features a meandering brick path that winds throughout the entire four acres and beautiful fountain-aerated pond where your dog can splash around or quench its thirst during spring, summer, and fall. Pierson Bark Park also offers a convenient “small or elderly dog” area, which is separate from the main park, for those who are concerned about the safety of their smaller companions. The entire park is enclosed by a six foot fence for your dog’s safety.

Members may visit the park any time from dawn until dusk, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year (unless we are mowing or doing park maintenance). Annual, monthly, or day passes may be purchased during office hours or by appointment. Visit our membership page for the application and additional information.

Pierson Bark Park (sometimes mistakenly spelled Pearson Bark Park, Person Dog Park, and Peerson Bark Park) is located on the north east side of Indianapolis in Fishers, IN. Annual and day passes are available. The Pierson’s intend to hold adoption events for homeless dogs in coordination with the local humane societies (Marion County, Hamilton County Humane Societies) and are on a mission to find homes for dogs in need of them. Pierson Bark Park is privately owned unlike the Broad Ripple and Eagle Creek Dog Zones. “Pooch Passes” or access passes to the park can be obtained for the day or an annual pass for attending the park on a regular basis. To obtain a either a day or annual pass, come to the park office with your dog’s vaccination records documenting current inoculations for Rabies, Parvo, Distemper and Bordetella, and complete the application form, sign the waiver, and pick up the dog park pamphlet. Also we recommend referring to our park rules and etiquette page to determine if Pierson Bark Park is a good fit for your family.

The Pierson Dog Park is a fantastic way to end the day. You and your furry pal can come and meet new friends and get a little fresh air. It is a great way for both of you to unwind. Play fetch with a ball, catch with a frisbee, tug of war with a rope, splash around in the pond, go for a walk around the lovely brick walking path, take a rest on a bench, get some sun and fresh air, strike up a game of chase or a conversation with a fellow dog lover… There is something for everyone at Pierson Bark Park. Come try a day pass and see what you think. We guarantee it will change you and your dog’s lives. Doesn’t your dog deserve it? Don’t you deserve it?

Unlike the other dog parks in the central Indiana area (Broad Ripple Bark Park (Broad Ripple Canine Companion Zone), Eagle Creek Dog Park ( Eagle Creek Bark Park & The Gilmer Canine Companion Zone at Eagle Creek), Four Paws Dog Park in Greenwood, Indianapolis Humane Society Dog Park, North Dunn Dog run in Bloomington, Nelson Dog Park in Elkhart/Goshen, IN, Pawster Park in Ft. Wayne, Terre Haute Humane Shelter Dog Park, Canine Country Club in Valpariso, IN, and Bluhm County Bark Park in Westville, IN), Pierson Bark Park offers such extras as a brick walking path, a pond for your dog to splash around in, a doggy watering area, and a separate designated small dog area for the safety of your smaller furry companion if you wish. Toys such as balls and frisbees are of course welcome.
